KBS World TV YouTube Live Stream Discontinued

When I read the notice for the first time, I couldn’t believe it and I waited until last moment to see myself it’s true and it is! As from now we can no longer watch “Lovely Horribly” through the live stream on KBS World TV YouTube-channel. It has also been removed from the website under the ON AIR-tab.

Notice Ending KBS World TV YouTube live stream

Many international fans will be deprived from this official possibility to continue watching “Lovely Horribly”. It is not clear to me either what’s the reason behind and if the live stream will ever be reinstalled!

As far as I understood KBS World will continue to upload the previews for “Lovely Horribly” like the one below for episodes 23 & 24. Of course, this is only a glimpse of how the story between Philip Yoo and Oh Eul Soon will be continued!

KBS World TV YouTube Live Stream Discontinued — 4 Comments

  1. That’s not really good news. I was even more unpleasantly surprised,  as the live stream was interrupted just when Lovely Horribly was broadcast.

    • No, it isn’t Dana. KBS World received a lot of disappointed comments in their comment box on YouTube. Other accounts I didn’t read.

This morning I could still watch the re-run of episodes 21 & 22, but around noon the live stream was gone.

Personally, I have my escape with Viki Pass and watching in The Netherlands is not restricted for “Lovely Horribly”, but I’m afraid watching will be very difficult or even impossible for most of us.

A fan asked on KBS World TV Youtube where she could watch LH as Kissasian had only 6 episodes up!

Viki is licensed to stream LH, but Kissasian and most others are illegal sites!

    • Viki Pass is paid subscription. So I watched episodes 23 & 24 early afternoon. These were already translated.

Non-official streaming websites always come with unwanted advertisements and they are harder to locate on the web. I won’t promote non-official websites, but I’m convinced many fans will seek for alternatives with the closure of KBS World TV Live.

The GDPR in the EU is an extra obstacle. If a website owner is caught uploading copyrighted material without permission of the owner and others complain about this penalties could be severe.

Btw, I could watch episodes 21 & 22 fully. Maybe because it is one hour earlier here than in Romania.
